With the temperatures soaring the sweat and dust make our skin vulnerable and more prone to skin diseases as well. Clogged pores of the face, smelly feet and underarms due to excessive sweating are an alarming concern.

Well, one does have alternates for these problems. Expensive options like going to a spa and other treatments which might bring you relief from all these issues but burn your pocket for sure. What if we say there is a kitchen remedy which would have magical results on all these summer troubles and with an absolutely reasonable price.

It is something readily available in every kitchen. Well, we are talking about the Baking soda. Most of you would have heard a lot of advantages of baking soda for the internal system of the body, it has equally essential properties to cure our summer menaces.

Gently rub the mixture and wash it off with cold water. You can repeat this treatment once or twice a week. This would not only work on your acne and pimples but also exfoliate your skin and open your pores and make your skin breathe again.

Baking soda helps the skin restore its pH balance which is pivotal for an overall healthy complexion. For a brighter and an improved skin complexion, mix 1 teaspoon of baking soda with fresh lime juice and 3 to 4 drops of coconut oil.

Usually its seen in summers that our underarms and feet get sweaty and start smelling. Feet specially when they are caged in shoes. The bacteria makes the odor unbearable sometimes and also becomes a matter of embarrassment for many.

To solve this issue, take half teaspoon of baking soda and mix it with water or rosewater. Apply this mixture on your underarms with the help of a cotton pad and then rinse it. Regular use of this treatment will help you get rid of the bad odor . you can also sprinkle some baking soda in your shoes before you wear them. This would keep your feet dry and odorfree.

4. HAIR REMOVAL

We all find various means of removing hair from private parts and resort to various painful and expensive ways as well. Well baking soda is yet another inexpensive treatment for removing  hair from private parts and also make them odor free.

In a pan take 1 tablespoon of baking soda and add water to it. Let the whole mixture come to a boil and become a frothy paste. Apply this mixture on the effected area and keep it for 5 minutes till it dries and then you can go off to sleep. The mixture would work overnight and early morning rinse it with cold water. Regular use of it would keep the odor away and also the unwanted hair.

5. HOME SPA  

You need not spend a fortune for those expensive spas when you can make your own bath tub into a refreshing spa. In your bathing water add 1 teaspoon of baking soda with rose water and a few drops of your favourite essential oil.
